Sporting vivid shades of tropical green, Tsavorite is a gorgeous variety of grossular garnet. Originally discovered in 1967, the name “Tsavorite” was coined in 1974 by Campbell Bridges and Tiffany’s Henry Platt and is derived from Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, one of the planet’s largest wildlife sanctuaries lying adjacent to rich deposits of the gem.
